Good Trouble
A living cultural movement where art, people and ideas actively shape society
“We must make good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America and the world.” – John Lewis (inspired by Martin Luther King Jr.)
GOOD TROUBLE is an emerging International Art Platform, led by womxn changemakers in the arts and visionary artists, powered by the What Art Can Do foundation.
Our platform organizes art interventions: performances, site-specific outdoor interventions, and installations. These works engage directly with their environments and audiences to foster awareness and dialogue, around current societal issues. Our upcoming events will take place in major cultural hubs such as London, Venice, Paris, New York, Mexico City, Bogota and Seoul.
There is more:
GOOD TROUBLE aims to build opportunities and spaces for art, artists and art lovers. Challenging traditional structures and institutions, transcending the market place, pushing boundaries. Focusing on creativity, dealing with societal issues, featuring art interactions and art interventions.
We are based in Amsterdam, where we build and expand our platform around 5 programs:
- art labs
- academic symposiums
- public salons
- art interventions
- thematic notebooks
Our team is committed to supporting artists, bringing people together, addressing today’s societal issues, and presenting impactful art.
Join us at GOOD TROUBLE. Leap into the unknown with us. Witness it become art.
“Our task is to make trouble, to stir up potent response to devastating events, as well as to settle troubled waters and rebuild quiet places.” – Donna Haraway, 2016
